Myasnikovich to attend Customs Union, SES conference 12 July

MINSK. July 12. KAZINFORM Belarus' government delegation led by Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich will take part in the conference "From the Customs Union to the Single Economic Space: The Interests of Business." The conference will be held in Moscow on 12 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The conference will focus on the economic activities within the Customs Union and the prospects which the formation of the Single Economic Space gives to the business community.

Partaking in the conference will be heads of government of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. The heads of government are expected to hold bilateral and trilateral meetings to discuss urgent issues of bilateral cooperation and interaction within the Customs Union.

The conference is organized by the business unions of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.

The Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan was created on 1 January 2010. In 2010 Belarus' trade with the Customs Union member states went up 21.3% to $29 billion. Belarus-Kazakhstan trade increased 2.2 times to reach $870.6 million. Belarusian export to Kazakhstan went up 1.5 times over 2009 to $464.8 million. Belarus-Russia bilateral trade increased by almost 10% to the total of $28 billion. Belarus' export to Russia went up 48% to $9.95 billion; Kazinform cites BelTA.
