Muscovites honour memory of victims of metro attacks
MOSCOW. May 7. KAZINFORM More than 1,500 Muscovites came for a commemorative meeting at the Lubyanka metro station on Friday morning to honour the memory of the victims of the terrorist attack committed at the station on March 29, Moscow police information department head Viktor Biryukov told Itar-Tass; Kazinform refers to ITAR-TASS.
Forty days after the tragedy, Muscovites came to the station to lay flowers and stand in silence at the site where a female terrorist committed the suicide bomb attack during rush hours in the morning on March 29.
People who came for the commemorative ceremony held in their hands photographs of some of the victims.
Police ensured security at the station during the ceremony.
Commemorative ceremonies were held at the Lubyanka and Park Kultury metro stations in Moscow on the 40th day after the terrorist attacks, which killed 40 people; Kazinform cites ITAR-TASS.
