Murat Yergeshbayev appointed Governor of Kyzylorda region

Murat Yergeshbayev was born on April 12, 1966, in Kyzylorda. In 1989, he received his degree in economics from the Alma-Ata Institute of National Economy.

In 1999, he graduated from the National Higher School of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan, qualifying as a public administration manager.

He began his career in 1989 as an economist at a state farm in the Syrdarya district.

From 1990 to 1993, he served as Head of the Production and Economic Department at Syrdarya Agro-Industrial Association. He later held positions as a specialist, Head of the Credit Department, and Deputy Head of the Kyzylorda regional administration of BC “Alem Bank Kazakhstan” from 1993 to 1996.

In 1996, he was appointed advisor to the deputy governor of the Kyzylorda region.

From 1998, he headed the Kyzylorda regional branch of JSC “Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan.” He later held several positions in social protection and finance, including Deputy Head of the Department of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Population of the Kyzylorda region (2002-2004) and Head of the Finance Department at Akim’s Office of Kyzylorda (2004-2006).

In 2006, he became Vice President for Economics and Finance at JSC “Ort Sondirushi,” under Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.

From 2008 to 2010, he served as mayor of Kyzylorda. He then served as Head of the Finance Department of the Kyzylorda region (2010-2011), Akim of the Karmakshy district (2011-2013), and governor of the Shieli district (2013-2015).

From 2015 to 2017, he worked as Managing Director at JSC “KazAgroProduct.”

From 2017 to 2021, he held the position of governor of the Kazaly district, and from 2021 to 2023 as governor of the Syrdarya district in the Kyzylorda region.

Since March 2023, he has served as a deputy of the Kazakhstan Parliament’s Majilis of the VIII convocation from the AMANAT party.

Earlier, the Head of State decreed to appoint Roman Sklyar as the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, relieving him of his previous post.
