Storm alert has been issued for Astana and 12 regions of Kazakhstan for January 31, Kazinform News Agency cites the Kazhydromet National Met Office.
The city of Astana is to brace for blizzard on January 31.
Wind gusting up to 30mps is predicted in Zhambyl region.
Blizzard and gusty wind are forecast for Ulytau, Aktobe, Karaganda, and West Kazakhstan regions.
Black ice and blizzard are expected in Akmola, Kyzylorda, and Atyrau regions.
Kostanay region is to brace for fog and wind.
Zhetysu region is to see black ice and fog.
Blizzard, fog, and black ice are expected in Mangistau region.
Heavy precipitation is predicted in Turkestan region.
