Moscow TV channel reports death of popular Russian stage/movie actor Oleg Yankovsky

MOSCOW. May 20. KAZINFORM. Moscow-based television channel NTV has reported the death of a highly popular Russian screen and stage actor, Oleg Yankovsky, one of the stars of the modernistic Lenkom theater; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
He is known internationally as the performer of intensely psychological main parts in director Andrei Tarkovsky?s films ?The Mirror? and ?Nostalgia?.
One more movie featuring him in the leading part, ?My Sweet and Tender Beast? appeared on several international film festivals in late 1970?s
Yankovsky died at the age of 65 after a long and serious disease; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
