Moscow transport company founder wounded in assassination attempt

MOSCOW. May 20. KAZINFORM A founder of the West Line transport company has been wounded in an assassination attempt in southern Moscow, an official said; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

"An unidentified attacker fired a firearm with a silencer at Sergei Lisin near the entrance to house 20 in Marshal Zakharov Street at around 00:20, Moscow time. Lisin was wounded in the chest. He is now in hospital," representative of the Moscow department of the Investigations Committee under the Prosecutor General's Office (SKP) Sergei Marchenko told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

Lisin's wife said he was a founder of the West Line transport company.

A criminal case over attempted murder has been opened. An investigation is underway; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
