More than half of Kazakhstanis, who are abroad, voted - MFA

ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ More than half of the Kazakhstani people, who are abroad, voted at polling stations in diplomatic and consular representation offices of Kazakhstan.

Director of the Kazakh MFA's Department Kairat Sarzhanov told a briefing.

"The Kazakh MFA created all conditions for implementation of the constitutional rights of the citizens of Kazakhstan abroad. In addition to posting in media, members of the diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Kazakhstan informed Kazakhstani people who are registered in the consular agencies abroad, by a telephone," the MFA's representative said.

"The number of citizens of Kazakhstan included in the lists of voters abroad makes nine thousand people. 4,521 voters, making 50 percent, polled abroad as of 4 pm Astana time. The voting abroad is being held in a calm atmosphere," K.Sarzhanov added.
