More than half of country's population lives in southern regions of Kazakhstan - Nazarbayev

ALMATY. March 27. KAZINFORM "More than half of the population live in five regions of Kazakhstan, whose heads are meeting today in Almaty," President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev announced today at a meeting with governors of the southern regions of Kazakhstan.
"Large industry, infrastructure and agrarian complex, chemical industry, rail and road transport, piping systems are focused in these regions," Nursultan Nazarbayev added. Many people live here. A big number of school and medical centers are built in these regions. These issues will be concerned during our session. Last year, I had instructed the Government to use the potential, in order to see what we can do in the southern regions," the President said.
