More than 2,000 children stay in biological families due to «SOS Children's Villages»
ALMATY. April 3. KAZINFORM - More than 2,000 children are in their biological families with projects to strengthen the family of the «SOS Children's Villages of Kazakhstan» Fund.
This has been stated today in Almaty at the press conference on the upcoming 20th anniversary of this international movement in our country.
In 1994, «SOS Children's Villages Kazakhstan» Foundation received a certificate of membership of the «SOS-Kinderdorf International» International Fund. In 1995, the agreements were signed between the Government of Kazakhstan and the International Foundation, and the Decree of the President which became the starting point of the activity of «SOS Children's Villages» projects and programs for needy children and families with the necessary support for full education and development.
"Today, our « SOS Children's Villages» unite under their cozy roofs 294 children in Temirtau, Astana and Almaty. During the time of the Fund's long-term care and support projects to strengthen vulnerable families involved over 2300 children and young people from more than thousand socially vulnerable families, " said the national director of « SOS Children's Villages Kazakhstan» corporate fund Batyrkhan Dzhenalaev.
"Children's villages can not be a panacea for all the children of Kazakhstan left without parental care, but our experience can teach other organizations and ordinary people to pay attention to the problem, and treat their families and children more carefully," said the directorof «SOS Children's Village Almaty» Dolkun Akhmetov.
Their experience to improve the situation of children in need and prospects for development programs in the world shared the deputy director of the continental SOS Kinderdorf Tom Malvet and SOS Kinderdorf Regional Director Zdenko Sedlar.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of «SOS Children's Villages Kazakhstan", the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexei Volkov told about the formation of children's facilities, and representatives of "National Welfare Fund" Samruk-Kazyna " JSC and ENRC Kөmek gave the examples of corporate social responsibility.
