More than 10,500 Russian companies registered in Kazakhstan

14 projects were realized with participation of the Russian companies to the amount of USD 2 bln as of January 1, 2014. Russian companies take part in more than 50 investment projects in Kazakhstan," trade commissioner of Russia to Kazakhstan Alexander Yakovlev told a business mission of the Udmurtian Republic in Astana. According to him, the regions of Kazakhstan and Russia concluded about 300 agreements so far. The trade turnover with some of them exceeded more than USD 1 bln. Three regions of Russia, broadly Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and Dagestan, opened their representations in Kazakhstan. "There are about 33,000 joint companies with foreign capital in Kazakhstan. 750 companies with Russian capital were set up in 2011, 832 in 2012, above 1,100 entered the Kazakhstan's market in 2013. For the past eight months about 300 enterprises were established that is bright evidence of favorable investment climate in Kazakhstan and positive integration processes occurring within the CU and Eurasian Economic Union," he resumed.
