Mongolian FM meets with Minister of International Development of Canada

Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg emphasized that Canada's development programs have made an important contribution to the successful implementation of Mongolia's political and economic transition and to fostering sustainable and inclusive development.

The Foreign Minister expressed her satisfaction with the successful implementation of development programs in the areas of empowering girls and women, ensuring gender equality, strengthening specialized civilservice, and improving the governance in the mining sector.

Minister of Development Cooperation Ahmed Hussen noted that Canada is willing to expand cooperation with Mongolia, an important partner in the Indo-Pacific region, and implement projects and programs that contribute to the development of Mongolia, for example, cooperating in the field of climate-smart agriculture, taking into account having a similar climate.

Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg invited Minister of International Development Ahmed Hussen to visit Mongolia, and Minister A. Hussen accepted the invitation with pleasure.
