Mongolian exports in January decrease by 23.1 percent

In the first month of 2025, Mongolia exported goods and raw materials worth USD 1.019 billion, a 23.1 percent decrease compared to the same period last year, MONTSAME reports.

Mineral products that amounted to USD 889.7 million made up 87.3 percent of the total exports, while USD 72.6 million worth of pearls, precious and semi-precious stones, precious metals, jewelry, and coins accounted for 7.1 percent, and USD 12.7 million worth of live animals, livestock, and animal products accounted for 1.2 percent. These items in total made up 95.7 percent of the export revenue, according to the Mongolian Customs General Administration.

As earlier reported, the number of tourists visiting Mongolia rises by 23 percent.
