Moldova awaits new initiatives on Transnistrian conflict from Kazakhstan’s OSCE chairmanship

ANA. October 9. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Moldova awaits Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship to generate new initiatives on settling the Transnistrian conflict.

"We are reliant on your chairmanship in this Organization", Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Yuri Lyanke said at the meeting with Kazakh State Secretary - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev in Chisinau.

"We have one big problem that we have failed to settle for 18 years. This is the Transnistrian conflict. I am sure that you understand us deter due to historic background. I believe, being the chairman you have some additional elements, new proposals, initiatives that can either settle the Transnistrian conflict or move us closer to the solution", Y.Lyanke said.

Issues of bilateral cooperation were addressed at the meeting as well.
