Modernization of Shymbulak ski center discussed in Almaty

ALMATY. March 11. KAZINFORM. Akim (Mayor) of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yessimov has met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of ?Capital Partners? LLC Serzhan Zhumashov today. The issues of financing of one of the basic objects for the oncoming 2011 Winter Asian Games – ?Shymbulak? ski center – was discussed; Kazinform refers to the press service of Almaty akimat.
The budget of reconstruction amounts to USD 1.37 billion. The cost of the infrastructure modernization is USD 240 million.
S. Zhumashev said that ?Capital Partners? was ready to build an underground parking for 150 places and an open parking for 1000 places at ?Medeu? high-mountain skating-rink. Besides, the company is going to install equipment, complete construction of restaurant complexes at ?Medeu? and ?Shymbulak?, build a new funicular and continue modernization of ski-runs.
