‘Modern trends in mass sport development’ conference opens in Astana

The plenary session was opened by the Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Muhamediuly. In his opening speech to the guests and participants of the event, he pointed out the special importance of the development of sports in the preparation of high-class athletes. The minister said that sport in our country is a factor uniting all the nations and peoples of different faiths and cultures. Kazakhstani athletes' achievements contribute to strengthening the country's prestige in the world arena.

The Conference has being attended by about 300 experts in the field of physical culture and sports, sports psychology; heads of complex scientific groups and sports organizations; representatives of sports federations; scientists; methodologists and coaches from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Ukraine.

The event has discussed the current state of mass sport, new research directions and effective ways of mass sport development in Kazakhstan, the modern system of training athletes for the Olympic Games, as well as sports management and marketing.
