Minister of Communication and Information met with Chief Editors Club members
ANA. May 29. KAZINFORM Kazakh Minister of Communication and Information Askar Zhumagaliyev met with members of the Chief Editors Club of Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry reports.
A.Zhumagaliyev informed on the plans of the sector development and achieved results. He noted that the activities implemented together with the media community helped to esteem the real situation at the information market of the country. "Such form of interaction between the participants of the market and the Ministry of Communication and Information will be practiced further", the Minister said.
A.Zhumagaliyev noted as well that within the last month the Ministry worked on the issue of cheapening the services of dissimilation of printed materials. He informed that the Ministry managed to achieve 10% reduction in cost of services of "Kazpochta" JSC.
The Minister also briefed on the results of the work on switch off to digital TV and the activity of the working group on development of draft Law "On broadcasting". A.Zhumagaliyev paid special attention to the quality of the Kazakh mass media noting that the level of the state mass media needs to be improved.
