Military plane crashes in Dubai
DUBAI. November 18. KAZINFORM An Italian military aircraft returning to Italy after the Dubai Airshow crashed Friday morning to the sea in Dubai and no casualties were reported, the medial office of the Dubai government said; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The plane, belonging to the Italian Air Force, crashed to the sea about 7 miles from the Deira Palm Island which is still under construction, the media office said, adding that the crew ejected with success.
The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the accident, but said it could not disclose further details as the investigations fell under the UAE military's purview.
Plane producer Alenia Aermacchi said that its representatives are co-operating closely with the local authorities, through the Italian embassy in the United Arab Emirates, according to the local daily The National.
