As is known the OSCE member countries pledged to struggle against intolerance and study new cases of human trafficking. Besides, the global financial crisis worsened the situation in migration processes.

The representatives of the NGOs of several European and Central Asian countries stated with concern and pain the existing facts of crimes and incidents which occurred on the ground of hatred and intolerance against the migrants. According to their information, due to this reason, the migrants live in fear and are not able to protect their rights and freedoms, for example, free choice of residence, freedom of associations and expression of opinions. The situation with human-trafficking is not less difficult. In particular, during seide-eventa discussion held under the aegis of the Crisis Centers Union of Kazakhstan it was noted that taking into consideration the latest events in Kyrgyzstan, the situation with human-trafficking was escalated which relates to children, first of all.

Noteworthy to say the situation in this sphere in Kazakhstan remains positive. According to the results of a sociological research of the 'Social Perspective' Fund, 65.4% of the Kazakhstani respondents expressed tolerant attitude towards migrants while 17.8% respondents' attitude was favorable. One tenth of the respondents showed disinclination for the migrants. The results of the poll conducted among the illegal migrants in the country showed that they face various problems - like the conflicts with the employees of migration services and law-enforcement bodies.

As the participants of the session concluded this problem must be thoroughly discussed at the forthcoming Summit of the OSCE in Astana.
