-35C frost to grip Kazakhstan mid-week

Fronts and a cyclone are to bring snow to the greater part of the country on December 24 and the west, northwest and east on December 25-26. The country’s southwest is to brace for precipitation a rain and snow.

Due to an anticyclonic spur the southern part is to enjoy the weather with no precipitation. The country is also to expect ground blizzard, fog, gust wind as well as black ice in the west.

Night temperatures are expected to plummet as low as -20-35C in the center and east, informed Kazhydromet.
