Meeting with OSCE experts in Astana: Necessary to continue collaboration in protecting human rights in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. April 30. KAZINFORM - Today there has been the meeting between the head of the National Centre for Human Rights Vyacheslav Kalyuzhny and the experts from the Internal Audit Department of the OSCE Secretariat.
Representatives of the OSCE Secretariat are currently undertaking assessment of the OSCE Centre in Astana, and withtin the cooperation with national human rights institution as well.
B. Kalyuzhniy accounted in details of the activities carried out jointly in the framework of the trilateral project titled "Support to the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Kazakhstan", which was implemented in cooperation between the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Danish Institute for Human Rights and the OSCE Centre in Astana, as well as the prospects of establishment of the Commissioner for human Rights in Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting both sides expressed the need to continue further cooperation in protection and promotion of human rights in our country.
