Meeting of Speakers of Russian and Kazakh Upper Houses held
ASTANA. July 13. KAZINFORM Kazakh Senate Chairman, Vice President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Chairman of the CIS IPA Council Sergey Mironov, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Upper House.
K.Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan appreciates the state and prospects on building-up the Kazakh-Russian bilateral cooperation and interaction within the international organizations and forums. "This is the result of the contribution of the Leaders of our countries", the Speaker said.
"We appreciate the level of development of inter-parliamentary contacts between our legislative authorities, including the activity of the inter-parliamentary group on cooperation between the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament and the Council of Federation of Russia", the Kazakh Speaker noted.
K.Tokayev spoke for development of further cooperation within the Customs Union, established by the initiative of Presidents of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus, noting that the participation in the EurAsEC is one of the priorities in the foreign policy of Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh Speaker invited the Head of the Russian Council of Federation to pay official visit to Kazakhstan.
