Mayor of Kandahar killed in terrorist attack

KABUL. July 27. KAZINFORM The mayor of the Afghan city of Kandahar was killed and another person was wounded on Wednesday morning in a terror attack, local radio station Salam Vatandar reported, quoting a local police force commander; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
A terrorist infiltrator got into the mayor's building and detonated a bomb hidden in his turban. No further details are available.
The attack comes just two weeks after President Karzai's step-brother Ahmad Wali Karzai, the head of Kandahar's Provincial Council, was shot dead by his bodyguard in Kandahar on July 12.
