Mayor Dzhaksybekov meets with religious leaders of Astana

A. Dzhaksybekov noted that the President's address to the nation "Nurly Zhol - Path to the future" has given much attention to the consolidation and strengthening of trust between all people of Kazakhstan. To date, the religious situation in the capital is developing in a positive way. Astana city administration has also organized a meeting of the Council for Relations with Religious Associations. The talks were attended by representatives of government agencies and universities, deputies, reps of religious organizations, NGOs and public figures. The event considered the development of interfaith relations in Astana, activities of Astana office of Spiritual Administration of Muslims, the role of public institutions in strengthening interethnic and interreligious accord. Following the meeting the related urban structures were given a number of assignments. In addition, the round table reviewed and approved the work plan of the Council for 2015.
