Dear Kazakhstanis!

Dear friends!

In a few minutes we will watch 2010 in. In these remaining moments exciting feelings are overwhelming us. We summarize the results of the past year, think of what is expecting us in the future.

2009 was an important and successful in many aspects period in the history of Kazakhstan.

We strengthened the bases of our economy in the crisis. The Road Map program was implemented. Hundred thousand new jobs were created all over the country. New schools and hospitals were built, roads, social and communicational facilities were repaired. We launched new productions, set about realization of innovative projects, laid foundation for technological breakthrough of Kazakhstan into the future.

Our grain growers harvested the record crop.

We increased the welfare of our people.

Our multinational people became more friendly and solid.

This is the main result of the departing year.

I am grateful to all you, my compatriots, for your best qualities - patience, industriousness, responsibility demonstrated in tough time. New Year 2010 will be special for Kazakhstan. New tasks are set before us.

We picked up the slack of chairmanship in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. This is an evidence of the wide international standing of our state. And we must carry through this historic mission worthily.

We will start living in the Customs Union with Russia and Belarus beginning from January 1, set about establishment of the Single Customs Space. This will strengthen our economy, provide new prospects for it, increase the living standards of Kazakhstanis.

We will start implementation of the First Five-year Plan next year. Kazakhstan will start its industrial breakthrough in XXI century.

We will mark the 15 anniversary of our Constitution and the 65 anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War next year. These are memorable dates for all Kazakhstanis.

Kazakhstan welcomes the time of new important doings.

Today we all share a common dream of Kazakhstan to become more powerful, successful and honored country in the world. And we will make it come true.
