Mausoleum of Khawaja Ahmed Yasawi needs urgent refurbishment

SHYMKENT. June 24. KAZINFORM "The Mausoleum of Khawaja Ahmed Yasawi is in need of urgent repairs," Zhantemir Alimov, the Chairman of the private association of the Mausoleum says.
According to him, the deplorable state of the monument has been confirmed by the conclusion of several research institutes of Russia and Kazakhstan.
As noted by the community leader, it's not the age of the historical monument, but the effect of substandard work of previous restorers.
Current restorers confirm that after previous works in the mausoleum ventilation shafts were closed.
