Maternal and infant mortality issues discussed in Kostanay
KOSTANAY. July 30. KAZINFORM /Petr Plakhotnikov/ A visiting session of the national staff on maternal and infant mortality has taken place today in Kostanay; Kazinform correspondent reports.
The staff was established by the Kazakh Ministry of Healthcare, the session was held by Minister of Healthcare Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev.
The participants of the staff - deputies of the regional mayors, heads of medical research centers, chief doctors of the regional and district hospitals were informed of the Kostanay work experience which according to the Minister is an advanced one.
As Zh. Doskaliyev noted "the level of the infant mortality here is the lowest one in the country".
According to the participants of the session the low qualification of medical specialists, irrational use of allotted funds and lack of personnel are the main problem preventing to adhere to quality protocols.
