Massimov stressed significance of mining and metallurgical sector for Kazakhstan economic development

Addressing the participants, Karim Massimov said that "mining and metallurgical complex in Kazakhstan is one of the key areas of the country's economy with 18% share in the total industrial output, and which employs about 300,000 people."
The Prime Minister noted the importance of implementation of the state program of forced industrial-innovative development (FIID) for the development of the mining and metallurgical complex. "Thanks to FIID 50 new productions were commissioned in the mining industry. This year we plan to launch another 7 projects," Massimov added.
The Prime Minister also said that "the Government approved the comprehensive plan for the development of the mining industry until 2018."
He wished the participants constructive discussions, noting that "over the years the Congress has become a significant international platform for the discussion of the most pressing issues in the mining industry."
