Massimov, Descamps discuss prospects of EBRD's participation in Kazakhstan Forced Industrialization Program
ASTANA. February 16. KAZINFORM. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov has met with Business Group Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for South Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia Olivier Descamps in Ukimet Uyi today; Kazinform refers to the PM's press service.
The parties discussed the issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and EBRD including the opportunities of the bank's participation in implementation of the country's industrialization, diversification and innovation programs. In particular, they considered the projects within the Program of Forced Industrial Innovation Development for 2010-2014, activities on development of sustainable energy as well as Kazakhstan's private entrepreneurship development program.
Besides, they discussed the issues of preparation for the 20th Annual Meeting in 2011 in Astana city.
K. Massimov and O. Descamps expressed confidence in further successful and effective cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
