Many interesting ideas expressed at III Congress of Turkic-speaking countries - TURKSOI Sec-Gen
ASTANA. May 26. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Many interesting ideas were expressed during the III Qurultay (Congress) of Turkic-speaking countries on architecture and town-planning. TURKSOI Secretary General Dyussen Kasseinov has said at a closing ceremony of the Qurultay at the Palace of Independence in Astana.
"During these two days we have heard a number of interesting ideas and serious projects on historical and modern research", he noted. According to him, participation of the Kazakh and Turkish presidents in the Qurultay marked special significance of the event.
TURKSOI is an international organization for joint development of Turkic culture and arts. It was founded on the basis of the treaty signed by the culture ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan on July 12, 1993 in Almaty. Later the republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Khakassia, Tyva, Altay, Sakha-Yakutia as parts of the Russian Federation and Gagauz Yeri, the autonomous region of the Republic of Moldova joined the Treaty on TURKSOI as observers.
