Mangystau to use Turkish experience in tourism development
AKTAU. KAZINFORM - Aktau, on the eve of the 7th International Conference of World Heritage Cities, has held a meeting with the delegation of Turkey including the Mayor of the city of Safranbolu Necdet Aksoy and his wife, the Mayor of Samsun Yusuf Ziya Yilmaz, Chairman of the Union of Municipalities of the Turkic world Fakhri Solak and others.
During the meeting, Mayor of Mangystau region Alik Aidarbayev said that Kazakhstan is now actively developing socio-economic and trade relations with the neighboring regions. Turkey and Kazakhstan are not directly on the border, but the authorities of Mangystau region considered prospects for cooperation with the country.
"We are interested in increasing investment by Turkish businessmen. Our region and the entire country became the transport and logistics center of Eurasia. Our region develops infrastructure of sea ports and ferries. Loads can be directly delivered to Turkey via the Caspian Sea and a new railway. We are ready to provide land on the territory of the free economic zone for warehouses", said A. Aidarbayev.
In addition, he stressed that the authorities of the Mangystau region are willing to provide land on the coast of the Caspian Sea for tourism development.
"We will develop Kendirli infrastructure, construct an airport and a desalination plant, as well as solve the problem of gas and electricity. Next year we will begin the construction of the hotel. Turkey is well known for tourism development, therefore, we will be happy to use your help", he stressed.
Representatives of the Turkish delegation offered to increase the volume of mutually beneficial partnership in all spheres.
