Mangystau team represents Kazakhstan at «Africa eco Race»
AKTAU. December 13. KAZINFORM - Aktau has held a meeting with two crews ''Mobilex Racing Team'' of Mangystau region which will take part in the international rally-marathon ''Africa eco Race'' representing Kazakhstan.
''Africa eco Race'' passes on classic Dakar route. This year's race will be held through the territory of three countries: Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal. It is expected that 150 teams from all over the world will take part in the rally.
"Technical start of the rally will be held on December 29, 2013 from the French town of Saint- Cyprien where from the participants will be brought to port of Morocco. The rally will be finished on January 11, 2014 in Dakar (capital of Senegal) on the pink lake. Participants will cover a distance of 5580 kilometers, 2997 km of which form a special section divided into 11 stages", said the pilot Yury Sazonov.
Two Mangystau crews will represent Kazakhstan: Kanat Shagirov and Alexander Moroz crew and a crew of Yury Sazonov and Arslan Sahimov. Mangystau team takes part in international rallies since 2011, in the last race in Morocco Sazonov and Shagirov's crews took 5th and 6th places in the class T1.1 (cars with petrol engines). The teams will use ''Hammer'' cars. However, the cars have been assembled in the Czech Republic especially for the rally.
