Mangystau region develops cooperation with Iran

ASTANA. October 11. KAZINFORM The delegation from Mangystau region made its working trip to Iran since October 9 to October 11.

The goal of the visit was to define further directions in cooperation and develop relations between entrepreneurs from Mangystau and investors from Iran, the press service of Mangystau region informs.

This visit is a practical realization of the agreements on bilateral partnership between Kazakhstan and Iran. Currently there are 2 memorandums and 4 agreements that are realized between the regions of Iran and Mangystau region. Besides, there are 9 joint enterprises functioning in the region. The trade turnover between Iran and Mangystau for one year tops USD 200 mln.

Upon the completion of the meetings a memorandum on trade-economic, scientific-technological and cultural cooperation was signed between Mangystau region and the Mazandaran Province. In particular, the sides agreed to discuss the prospects of interaction in establishing a joint venture on procurement and delivery of early fruit and vegetables for affordable prices and high quality without dealers' assistance.

On October 11 the delegation led by the Governor of the region part in opening the international exhibition of agricultural equipment in the city of Gorgan in the Golestan Province. Within the framework of the meeting the memorandum on trade economic, scientific-technological and cultural cooperation was signed between Mangystau region and Golestan Province.

In accordance with the signed memorandum the factories of the Golestan Province will provide cheap food of high quality to the people of Mangystau region. The sides also agreed on cooperation between the Gorgan University and the Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering.

Besides, the delegation from Mangystau met with representatives of the Kazakh diaspora in Iran.
