Man drowns while trying to save daughter in Atyrau

The accident happened in Makhambetsky district where the bereaved family and their friends were spending their vacation. According to witnesses, the man tried to save his daughter, 19, when she started drowning in the river. He rescued the girl, but drowned himself. Lifeguards who were summoned to the spot recovered his body from the water.
