Majilis Speaker praises conduct of Kazakh Senate elections

TANA. August 18. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Elections to the Kazakhstan Senate are conducted successfully, Majilis Speaker Ural Mukhamedzhanov said during his meeting with the observation mission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
"68 observers from eight CIS countries are engaged in election monitoring in Kazakhstan. 181 media representatives from different countries participate in the observation. I think, all of this shows a high level of the Senate elections," Mukhamedzhanov noted.
According to him, most of the candidates are self-nominated.
