Majilis Speaker met with Chinese Ambassador
ASTANA. October 5. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Development of mutually beneficial and friendly relations with the People's Republic of China is one of the main priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy. Speaker of the Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakhstan Parliament) Ural Mukhamedzhanov has said it at the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Kazakhstan Zhou Li.
'Regular top level meetings give a strong impulse to Kazakh-Chinese relations", the Chairman noted.
He emphasized that Kazakhstan and China cooperated successfully both in bilateral format and within the framework of various international organizations. The volume of trade turnover with China makes 15% of the total foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan. The two states implement a number of bog projects in the spheres of energy.
U. Mukhamedzhanov expressed confidence that the coming visit of the Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference would promote further development of multilateral cooperation.
