Majilis Speaker elected Chairman of EurAsEC Interparliamentary Assembly
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Majilis Speaker Kabibulla Dzhakupov has been elected Chairman of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Euro Asian Economic Community, which session took place today in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, according to the press service of the Majilis.
Kazakhstan has made a great contribution to the development of the organization. Kazakhstan holds presidency of the EurAsEC for the second time in a row. The plenary meeting has discussed the issues related to harmonization of national legislation of EurAsEC member-states in social sphere, environment, industrial safety and regulation order of foreign citizens' stay on the territory of EurAsEC countries. Noting the importance of such an institution as the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Euro Asian Economic Community, the Chairman of the Majilis Kabibulla Dzhakupov stressed that its activities are aimed at the harmonization of the laws of the member-states for the development of EurAsEC economics of integration including the improvement of the social welfare of the population.
