Majilis Speaker, Ambassador of Netherlands met
ASTANA. February 5. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Prospects for further development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands were discussed at the meeting of Ambassador of the Netherlands to Kazakhstan Frans Potuyt with Chairman of the Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament) Ural Mukhamedzhanov, Kazinform refers to the press service of the House.
U.Mukhamedzhanov congratulated the Ambassador on the beginning of his diplomatic mission and noted that the Netherlands is one of the key partners of Kazakhstan that has great investments to the economy of our country. The Speaker expressed gratitude for the Hague's support of Kazakhstan's candidature for the post of the OSCE chairman.
The Ambassador in his turn said that "Shell" company will start working in Kashagan minefield soon. Opening of the Netherlands Consulate in Precaspian region is planned as well.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of the parliamentary contacts for development of cooperation between the two countries at the level of parliamentary friendship groups.
The President's Address to the Nation was also discussed at the meeting.
