Majilis ratifies Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks

ASTANA. February 22. KAZINFORM At today's plenary sitting the Majilis approved a draft law "On ratification of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks and Regulations to it."
The Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks was adopted in Singapore on March 27, 2006. The treaty establishes common standards for procedural aspects of trademark registration and licensing.
The document ensures the equality of rights of Kazakhstani applicants, registering trademarks abroad and foreign applicants, registering trademarks in Kazakhstan using specific rules for the preparation and filing of applications for trademark registration services.
