Majilis ratifies Loan Agreement between Kazakhstan and IBRD

ASTANA. June 24. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament approved draft law "On ratification of the Loan Agreement (South-West International Transport Corridor West Europe - West China project (CAREC) - 1b and 6b) between Kazakhstan and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development" at the plenary session; Kazinform reports.
The Agreement was signed on June 13, 2009 in Astana. The loan amounted to USD 2 bln 125 mln was allocated for the first time by the Bank. The project to be completed at the end of 2013, the loan was given for 25 years including five year exemption period.
