Majilis ratifies Kazakh, Afghan agr't on cooperation in education sphere

ASTANA. June 9. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Majilis of the Kazakhstan Parliament has approved a draft law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Afghanistan on cooperation in the sphere of education" at its plenary sitting today.
"The Kazakh side will annually enroll 200 citizens of Afghanistan in the higher educational institutions (140 students) and vocational schools (60 students) from 2010 till 2014", Kazakh Minister of Education and Science Zhanseit Tuimebayev said.
The Minister noted that the education would be financed by the Kazakh side. The Agreement was signed on November 22, 2009 in Kabul.
