Majilis ratifies International Convention against Doping in Sport

ASTANA. September 23. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament has approved a draft law "On ratification of the International Convention against Doping in Sport" at the plenary sitting today.
The bill was introduced by Vice Minister of Tourism and Sport Kairbek Uskenbayev. According to him, the ratification of the draft law will create an international legal framework for Kazakhstan to take measures correspondent to the principles of the World Antidumping Code and International Olympic Committee. He informed that the amendments to the legislation providing with penalty for using doping in sport would be introduced in 2011.
