Majilis ratified Protocol on amendments to Agreement on allied relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

ASTANA. January 27. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament) approved draft Law "On ratification of the Protocol on amendments to the Agreement on allied relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan as of December 25, 2003" at the plenary session.
"Adoption of the Protocol is conditioned by the necessity to modernize the text of the Agreement", Vice Foreign Minister Nurlan Yermekbayev said, reporting on the draft Law.
The Agreement on allied relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was signed on December 25, 2003 in Astana and ratified by the Law on November 9, 2006.
