Majilis presents new edition of draft law ‘On Information’

According to Vice Minister for Investment and Development Askar Zhumagaliyev who presented the bill, it aims to introduce a service model for the informatization of the legal framework of "electronic government" and create opportunities for the transition to an information and communication platform called "G-Cloud".

A. Zhumagaliyev in his speech said that the development of information and communication industry requires continuous improvement of the legal framework, and, therefore, the current Law "On Information", adopted in 2006, has already served its purpose. The new bill is intended to implement in Kazakhstan positive trends of the global practice.
