Majilis considers amendments to intellectual property legislation

ASTANA. May 20. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament has considered the Senate?s amendments to the draft law ?On amendments to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan on the issues of intellectual property? at a plenary sitting.
The amendments were worked out to bring the Law ?On copyright and associated rights? into compliance with the provisions of the Berne Convention on Protection of Works of Literature and Art.
The deputies disagreed with some amendments introduced by the Senate. Thus they decided to submit the amendments for consideration of the mediation committee.
