Majilis Chairman: We have issues to discuss with Finnish colleagues
ASTANA. March 27. KAZINFORM - Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Kazakhstan Mikko Kinnunen discussed the development of the Kazakh-Finnish cooperation, the press service of the Majilis reports.
The officials stressed that the trend of developing bilateral cooperation suggests that the relationship between Kazakhstan and Finland are on a qualitatively new level of strategic partnership. The sides were unanimous in the opinion that a high level of political dialogue has been achieved primarily through the leaders both countries, Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Finland Sauli Niinistö.
Much attention was paid to the inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. "For the Kazakh parliamentarians of practical interest is the experience Finnish colleagues on the bills, especially in the innovative development, education improvement," ecological "approach to the economy, the fight against corruption, as well as generally modernizing the state and civil society", the chairman of the Majilis emphasized .
In order to strengthen and work out partnerships between the higher legislative bodies of the two countries the Parliament of Kazakhstan has formed a group for cooperation with Finland. Nurlan Nigmatulin and Mikko Kinnunen expressed hope for further contacts of the parliamentarians.
The Majilis Chairman and the Finland Ambassador were also unanimous in the opinion that Kazakhstan and Finland have great potential for successful interaction.
