Majilis approves bill on agro-industrial complex development

ASTANA. May 24. KAZINFORM Deputies of Majilis, the Lower Chamber of the Kazakh Parliament, approved in the second reading a draft law "On amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on development and support of the agro-industrial complex.
According to Majilisman Rauan Shayekin, the bill was initiated by a group of parliamentarians and aimed at creating the legal basis to form and use the regional stabilization fund of food products. The stabilization fund will be formed based on the list of socially important food products with shelf time of more than six months.
The draft law is to eliminate mismatches in the legislation relating to varying interpretation of tax legislation norms on VAT payment.
