Majilis approved ratification of Kazakh-U.S. agr't on railway transit of cargo for Afghanistan
ASTANA. June 23. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Today at a plenary session the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament has approved the draft Law On ratification of the Agreement between the Kazakhstan, U.S.A. Governments on commercial railway transit of special cargo through the territory of Kazakhstan due to participation of the U.S.A. in stabilization and rehabilitation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
"The Head of the State attaches political importance to this Agreement, since it will become a certain contribution of Kazakhstan to the solution of the Afghan problem. This step fully meets the mo goal set by N. Nazarbayev - to establish safe area around our country", Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kairat Omarov said presenting the bill.
