Majilis approved ratification of Agreement between Kazakh, Chinese Governments on coop in construction of Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline
ASTANA. November 17. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Draft Law On ratification of the Agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and China on cooperation in construction and exploitation of Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline has been approved at the plenary session of the Majilis of the Kazakhstan Parliament today.
Presenting the bill Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sauat Mynbayev noted the document aimed at development of long-term cooperation on transportation of the Turkmen and Kazakh gas via new pipelines on the territory of Kazakhstan and China. Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline consists of two sections. The first section runs from Uzbekistan to Horgos through Shymkent. The second one passes the route Beineu-Bozoi-Kyzylorda-Shymkent.
