Maintaining reached level of employment - one of goals of Road Map 2010
ASTANA. January 25. KAZINFORM. /Damir Baimanov/ Maintaining the reached level of employment should be one of the main purposes of Road Map program this year. Kazakh Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova said it at the Government's telephone conference on Monday.
According to the Minister, activities held with the Road Map allowed to stabilize the situation in the labor market. The level of unemployment decreased from 6.6 to 6.3 per cent. "In this context it is necessary to keep the reached level of employment within the framework of the Road Map 2010", she noted.
248,000 people got jobs within the program in 2009. Due to the expansion of the programs on creation of social workplaces and youth practice 125,000 were employed as well. 98,000 people were sent to training and retraining.
"Total number of employed in permanent jobs as a result of Road Map program realization in 2009 is 146,000 people", Minister Abdykalikova informed.
Employment agencies managed to give jobs to 56,000 people out of the Road Map.
