BRASILIA. October 2. KAZINFORM Three days before the presidential election in Brazil, a survey issued on Friday indicated that President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's government is approved by 77 percent of the country's population, Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
According to the survey made by Ibope Institute released by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), the approval rate of the president's personal performance remained at 85 percent in the poll conducted during Sept. 25-27.
The strong support for Lula's government, after nearly eight years in office, is expected to lead to the success of Dilma Rousseff, candidate for the ruling Workers' Party (PT), who is likely to win presidential elections in one round on Sunday.
